Summah summah time

I had quite a busy year and so I only developped these images quite some time after they were taken, be summer of 2010 in Montreal. Looking at these on a grey Sunday in England makes me anxious for summah time.

All taken on my 1960s Kodak brownie on 120 film. The Brownie is normally set for 620 film, however since it's extinct 120 works just fine- except when the spool knob gets jammed causing the images to superimpose. Decided to use this to my advantage.

What did you Google in 2010?

Since 2005 Brooklyn based Elastico Studio create very basic-looking pillows with the years' most googled subjects written on it. Some of the 2010 model features Justin Bieber, Glee and the iPad. Pillows are sold on Etsy for $65 USD.

Things as Type

While searching for inspiration- sometimes it just means experimenting with what's in front you. Dutch Osborne's Photogram Alphabet and La Camorra's Club Elastico flyers exemplify how a string, a spaghetti noodle, or perhaps a bone X-ray is sometimes all it takes.

Sky's the limit

It's a bird, no it's a plane, no... it's the letter E! Photos taken by Lisa Rienermann in Barcelona.

Neatly Back in Action

Haven't posted in nearly a year- 2010 was quite a busy year. Moving on to 2011- I vow to keep posting.
That being said- my LCC professor presented the Things neatly organized blog to our class the other day referencing color grids. There is something visually satisfying and nostalgic about these images. Perfectly placed, small to large, symmetrical layouts. Call it, neat-freak porn perhaps?
