Primary. Secondary & Analogous: Part Deux

In this series, I created another geometric pattern, but with with rectangles. With the primary colours, I started with the ticker rectangle being blue since its quite darker then the other 2, I though it would work as a bold contrast and create a strong pattern. Though, I found it looked a bit too conservative and dark. The red somewhat acts as a nice contrast and really pops.

The Strokes

The Strokes' latest album cover has some nice colour combinations, along with interesting play of shapes that'll keep you starring.

Primary, Complementary, Analogous, Triad Colour Combos

I did a few versions of these 4 colour combinations. I like working with triangles because their a bit odd in shape, and they create a lot of movement. Out of all 4 of these, I think I like the triad the best- those are colour I think work nicely together. Analogous colours also normally work well together, though this version below (the yellow & green one) is super bright. Maybe it's because of all the sun we've been having this weekend. It cracks

A friend of mine from school has started to follow a new mantra to create something new everyday. I though I'd give it go. It's just like they say: Practice makes perfect.

It's been a bit of an intense couple of months- so much to learn, so much to do, so much get done. I might be crackin'. Or rather, I better get crackin'!
