Montreal Plateau Scene: Cool According to The New York Times

Mile end boutiques, 3am poutines at La Banquise, delicious restaurants and eccentric independent galleries- some of the many wonderful things Montreal has to offer. Thanks NYT! Photo is from Bodybag by Jude, a lovely Mile End shop at 17 Bernard Ouest.

Stella says no to fur

I read this article a few weeks ago and bookmarked it to remind myself how important it is to be principled. A proud vegetarian, Stella Mccartney tells The Guardian the ruthless nature of the fashion industry when it comes to fur and leather.

Rebekka Gudleifs: Self Portrait Goddess

I was searching for some inspiration a few months ago as I was gathering ideas for a self-portrait series. A colleague of mine recommended Rebekka Gudleifs. Originally from Iceland, her photos are taken with great precision (each rock in the photo above was painted blue, NOT photoshop'ed) and are remarkably beautiful.

Anna Higgie

With a growing client list with big names such as The Guardian and Waterstones, there's no doubt the talented Anna Higgie is on the high rise.

Oxford shoes: a chunky ankle's nightmare

They're slick, masculine, vintage and classic. They make skinny jeans look slightly more dressy, flowy dresses more casual. It's the in-between shoe; comfortable and casual like a sneaker, dressy like a pump. Just like any fashion trend, one must consider the most important question: sure it's a gorgeous shoe, but will it look good on me? All you thick ankled ladies- think twice before dropping $$$ on this male inspired (but female mastered) shoe. I've been so tempted to get a pair, but everytime I try them on, my ankles disappear and i magically seem shorter and stompier then usual.

Damn you skinny ankled bitches!!!

If I were a skinny ankle bitch, THESE would be my pic:
