In this weekend's
Guardian, Philip French takes a glimpse into Jean-Luc Godard's
A bout de souffle (Breathless). It's the films' 50th anniversary, and French (oddly enough, that is his surname) takes a glimpse into Godard's successful film career, the film which would begin the French new wave, the tumultuous relationships with his arch-nemesis, and the influence he has created on some of the most iconic filmmakers of our time. French also leaves a nice list of must-see new wave films- if you haven't seen them already.
